Data & Methodology

Where our data comes from

TerraGrid's analysis is derived from public, government-hosted records. During the current preview, that means the City of Portland's publicly published 2022 aerial orthoimagery and public parcel data. We do not use private surveillance, drones, or any imagery captured on your behalf. The insights we surface are computed from records that are already available to the public.

How scoring works

Our engine analyzes publicly available aerial imagery to estimate the likelihood that a property could benefit from landscape maintenance services, and organizes those estimates into priority tiers to help service teams focus their outreach.

These scores are automated estimates, not verified facts. They are meant to prioritize which properties to look at first — not to make final decisions about any individual property or person. Always confirm details independently before acting.

Street View is for visual inspection only

The Street View panel you see inside a report is a live, embedded Google Street View widget. The imagery is streamed directly from Google into your browser so you can visually inspect a property's frontage. TerraGrid does not store Street View imagery, and it is never used as an input to our analysis or scoring — it is purely an inspection aid.

Google Street View imagery is provided by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service. Homeowners and tenants can request that their home be blurred in Street View directly through Google.

Responsible use

TerraGrid is a business-to-business prospecting and inspection tool for landscape service teams. We ask that customers use its outputs lawfully and respectfully, and never to harass, discriminate against, or profile individuals.
